Vehicle Mount Weather Stations

The Orion and Capricorn vehicle-mount weather stations provide weather monitoring for mobile operations. Internal system components are permanently mounted in the vehicle.

The 9-ft telescoping mast is detachable for transportation storage, then quickly clicks into place for rapid deployment. The entire system is operational within minutes to provide critical weather information where and when it is needed.

Orion Vehicle Mount Weather Station

The Orion Vehicle Mount weather station features an all-in-one sensor unit with ultrasonic wind direction and speed measurements, a highly-accurate impact rain sensor, capacitive relative humidity, temperature and barometric pressure readings. No moving parts enhances ease of use and durability. Increased resolution and accuracy make this system ideal for high-precision weather monitoring.

Orion LX Vehicle Mount Weather Station

The Orion LX Vehicle Mount weather station features the compact Orion sensor with an Internet-ready Weather MicroServer offering FTP output and XML web service, as well as a browser interface for computer network applications.

Capricorn 2000 Vehicle Mount Weather Station

The Capricorn 2000 Vehicle Mount weather station features a modular system providing commercial-level capture of weather data, storage, and transfer for monitoring and analysis. The Control Module accepts signal inputs from an array of meteorological sensors. The standard wind speed and direction sensors use a solid state, infrared optical design to decrease wear and sustain reliability. The proprietary, rugged wind sensor design incorporates years of experience and testing.

Capricorn 2000EX Vehicle Mount Weather Station

The Capricorn 2000EX Vehicle Mount weather station features an upgraded wind sensor assembly - the only difference from the standard Capricorn 2000. With durable aluminum/stainless steel construction, this wind direction and wind speed sensor offers enhanced two-degree wind direction resolution and finer accuracy. Perfect for applications requiring 360-degree wind direction resolution.
